Champasack, the Province of Historical Town, Laos

Champasack Province LaosChampasack is located at the South-west of Laos. Its capital is Pakse.

French architecture colonial , and ruins of ancient temples make of Champasack a rich place of the cultural heritage of Laos but also, one of the most beautiful tourist site of Laos.

Indeed, At Champasack, we can find the biggest waterfall of south-east Asia, Khone Phapheng, easily reachable by boat or by road. 

The province of Champasack is also famous for his production of Lao coffee (one of the  finest Arabica coffees in the world), tea, rattan, and others agricultural produces.

Besides, Champasack is the only province in which, we can see on the Mekong, near the Lao-Cambodian border, some freshwater dolphins of Irrawaddy, but which are nowadays endangered.

Total area: 15,415 square kilometers.
Population: 652,552.
10 Districts: Pakse, Sanasomboun, Bachieng Chaleunsouk, Pakxong, Pathoumphone, Phonthong, Champasack, Sukhuma, Mounlapamok and Khong.
Capital of Champasack province: Pakse.
