Bolaven Plateau and Tad Fane Waterfall in Champasack Province

Activity type : Waterfalls in Laos

Situated in the northeast of Champasack Province, the Boloven plateau covers part of the province of Salavan, Sekong and mainly Champassak.
It is reputed for its beautiful landscape, its ethnic villages and its unexplored corners,  but also for its coffee and its spectacular waterfalls including Tad Fane and Tad Pha Suam in the forest of Dong Hua Sao. 
The weather here in general is milder than the rest of the country, and Its fertile plains allow farmers to produce some of the best tea and coffee in the world.

Tad Fane, one the most spectacular waterfalls of the country  falls of over 100 metres down in the steep cliffs. 

The rainforest of Dong Hua Sao is suitable for trekking and is part of a big national park where wild animals live, including leopards, tigers, elephants and monkeys. Hornbills are among the 300 bird species found in this area.

Champassak province is a province of southern Laos border of Thailand and Cambodia. This is the only to be traversed, and not just bordered by the Mekong River. Its capital city is Pakse.
